My Students

My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. One of the biggest challenges we are facing is remote instruction.

We need to help students bridge the gap of learning while they were participating in remote instruction.

We need different resources in our classrooms that will allow different types of learning for students.

While they were at home, the students missed out on social-emotional learning with other peers and using manipulatives we have in our classrooms.

We need more manipulatives to support everyone's learning.

The students and families may not have the financial freedom to provide extra resources above and beyond what is in the school already.

My Project

These books and manipulatices will be provided to our students in our building to help pair with our curriculum. Students need opportunities to learn from books in all areas of learning. These books will be used for social-emotional learning.

These books and kits will be available to all students in the building to help with their pre-academic reading and pair literacy with social-emotional learning.

The students and teachers can access these books at any time. The teachers will use these books in their classrooms as a read aloud to teach the curriculum through literacy. The students will use these kits to learn basic pre-academic learning skills, social-emotional skills, and sequencing.
