This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The Art of Journalism comes from planning a story. The easel paper and easel stand I am requesting will give my students the skills they need in order to map out their story for Journalism class.

My students are from a high poverty school and supplies have become very scarce with the recent budget cuts.

Your help and support will give my students the resources they need to explore something new within the classroom. They will be able to become better writers in our Journalism class.

My Project

Getting the story, and presenting the story are two important skills in Journalism. Students have ideas for stories but can't map them out. The easel paper and the easel itself will provide my students with a way to map out their story and also get the story out there.

Opportunity is what school used to be about.

Now it's about testing and getting the highest score on a standardized exam. Students need to engage in what they are learning and this project will help them do just that.
