This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Books, reading, and sharing stories during circle time sparks imagination and stimulates curiosity. I want to provide the necessary books needed for preschoolers to learn and grow.

Reading aloud builds many important foundational skills, introduces vocabulary, provides a model of fluent, expressive reading, and helps children recognize what reading for fun is all about!

When we read together, I am teaching children to actively listen, make connections, make predictions, and remember detailed facts. By having preschool appropriate books to read, my class will have the tools needed to build their literacy skills.
