My Project

Farms, Seasons, Fairy Tales, and Nursery Rhymes are some of the Kindergarten units of inquiry taught in literacy at our school. Comprehension and vocabulary building are the main foci of these units in Kindergarten.

Story telling is a great way for students to review concepts learned through these units and practice that new vocabulary.

Felt story boards help our kindergarteners do this in a way that brings joy and creativity to their day.

This is a great way to tie the performing arts to what we do and learn each day. Students get to deepen their comprehension of the unit by retelling the story or process while also using story telling tools such as voice, pace, tone, pitch, emotion and accent to make the story fun and enjoyable!
