Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My little ones are an incredible group of young learners, each bringing their unique personalities and abilities into our classroom. They are curious, enthusiastic, and full of potential.

These books will serve as both classroom read-aloud and individual calming corner resources, helping my students navigate their emotions and develop empathy for others.

For my students with autism, books like All My Stripes and Nathan's Autism Spectrum Superpowers will offer relatable characters and situations, showing them that their unique perspectives and strengths are celebrated.

They’ll see themselves represented in positive, empowering ways, helping to build self-confidence and a sense of belonging. These stories will also foster understanding and acceptance among peers, creating a more inclusive classroom environment.

By reading stories that celebrate individuality and model effective strategies for managing big feelings, students will build foundational SEL skills that will carry them beyond the classroom.
