Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school's population is very diverse with a large group of English Language learners. This year my class needs support in literacy and math.

My students have a love for learning and are enthusiastic students.

We love coming to school and being a part of a team. My classroom really feels like a family. We will focus on building relationships and problem solving.

This year my students will develop a love for reading and the tools to be successful in 2nd grade.

My Project

My students do not have desks and will be sitting at tables. The storage bags will help them stay organized all year. It will save time during transitions between subjects if the supplies are at hand. All of the supplies will be behind their chair no need for a student to walk around to find something they need.

The book bins will organize the classroom library.

This will allow students to find their just right books easily allowing more time for reading. The bins will be labeled by reading level so students can pick books out and put them away in the right place.
