My Project

I teach a group of resilient Fourth Graders in the heart of Kensington. These children see more on their way to school in the morning that is enough to scare most adults but they still come in with a desire to learn. I am trying to create a loving and stable environment for them a place that they look forward to coming to every single day.

These supplies will give them some calming strategies to help when they might feel anxious or overwhelmed, some snacks when they are hungry, and must needed storage for our classroom.

The storage shelves and containers will help me to organize the supplies in our room. The calming stickers will look great on their desks and be there as a coping tool when they are feeling overwhelmed. The finger flashlights will be enjoyed during our Reading lessons and the snacks will help fill their bellies and keep them focused.
