My Students

My students are very special to me. They will be starting first grade in person after spending a year being virtual in Kindergarten, so for many, it will be their first year in school. Currently my classroom has tables with nowhere for my students to put their belongings.

First grade is such an important time for learning how to read, and with the pandemic, many children are reading below grade level.

It would be wonderful if each of my young scholars had seat packs that could be kept on the back of their chairs, where they could keep books to foster a love of reading.

My Project

My students will be in first grade and will be coming to a classroom with tables, instead of desks and minimal storage space. The storage sacks will provide them a place to keep their leveled books, as well as writing utensils organized, for easy access. I believe having these storage sacks will help to promote a love of reading, and important organizational skills, and easy access for them to find exactly what they need. The seat sacks fit nicely behind each chair, for convenience and space. It would be greatly appreciated to have these fully funded.
