My Project
At my middle school, we don't have proper storage for our cellos and basses. Some students have their instrument bridges holding constant pressure because of how tightly the instruments are stored together, which requires extra repairs and ages the instrument. We also have students who need to keep their instrument in my office, which is inconvenient for them. Getting some cello and bass stands would be life-changing for my students while showing them how to properly care for their larger instruments. We also are in need of more bass rosin which is used daily, as well as a new German bass bow since many students have grown and sized up on their instrument.
This classroom project was brought to life by Gov. Jared Polis & the Colorado Dept. of Education.
