This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students walk into class every day very eager to know what the day has in store for them. They ask a lot of questions and are interested in learning about the world around them. However, their eagerness to learn is often stifled by the problems they face in their everyday lives. My students are from a low/socio-economic area, and more often than not, learning takes a backseat to their daily struggles. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for my students so that they can strive to learn and be a “normal” student. They can forget their troubles, even if it’s just for a little while, and be a student full of wonder and enthusiasm.

My Project

Until it is safe for the students to come back to school, the school has to go to the students. However, not all of the students have the luxury to have a specific space for their things because of tight living areas.

These bins will provide a place for the students to store their school supplies in ONE specific place.

It is large enough to store all of the needed books, supplies and other necessary items for online classes, and the students will be able to transport the bins with them if their learning spaces changes from time to time.
