This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is in a trailer that has no built in storage. The storage provided by the school is mostly shelves and limited storage cabinet space. The book shelves I personally purchased to store my teaching materials fell apart due to the moving of furniture by the custodians to clean, and the materials organized on the shelves are often rearranged or misplaced due to them falling off when the furniture is rearranged to clean.

Having a clean and organized classroom is important to create a successful teaching environment.

I need a place for my STEAM materials, teaching books, and other teaching materials to belong in an organized fashion. Having a cabinet on wheels would allow the cleaning crew to easily move the cabinet to clean around and under it while safely containing my materials neatly organized. The containers will help some of the smaller materials to stay together and be organized in my cabinet.
