My Project

Caldwell Arts Academy is a kindergarten through 8th grade public magent school with an arts emphasis. While we are a K-8 campus, the middle school at Caldwell Arts Academy is still fairly new. We have only had a middle school for six years and a full 6-8 grade middle school for four. It is important that our students feel valued as talented and independent thinkers and see the middle school building as a middle school campus; and not just an extenstion of our elementary school.

Our campus believes in student voice, artistic expression, academic success through providing innovative approaches to education.

One way to contine to devlop this climate in our middle school building is through the creation of welcoming and collaborative learning spaces throughout the middle school building. These spaces would provide work spaces for artists, seating areas for discussions or areas for rehearsing while also providing a warm, updated environment that shows our middle school stars how much their hard work and effort is valued every day!

Our students work hard and are pushed to be their best daily from performaces, to UIL contest, to gallery shows, to Distrct and State testing...and they NEVER FAIL to rise to the occasion. They deserve a campus that mirrors their effprts and value.
