Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first-grade students are eager for independence, yet crave the attention of a nurturing environment, where you feel the warmth of learning as you walk into the room, highlighted with a class meeting space, flexible seating options, and meaningful connection with their teacher.

My first-grade students range from having Autism to ADHD.

They are a bunch of energetic, lovable students who want to please any adult that works with them. We are a Title l school and 90% of our families are low-income. We strive to provide our students with the accommodations that they need to be successful learners and community members.

My Project

My students have a difficult time sitting still to complete any task at hand. These chairs will help decrease the movement around the classroom and confine the movement to their desk area. This will help increase work completion along with my students being able to understand what is being taught to them.

The learning will increase dramatically amongst my students because they will be able to use the chairs as fidgets and will help them maintain longer focus on the subject being taught.
