My Project

My students love unconventional games and activities. I work with several special education classes at my school. My students have a variety of disabilities, and they all love to have fun. They never cease to amaze me during PE.

All of the equipment I am requesting is for the purpose of motivating my students to ENJOY PE and fitness.

Stomp a rocket to the sky, zoom a ball by pulling a cord, throw a foxtail and watch it fall, the floor is LAVA! These are just a few of the unique items that will delight my students.

I will use these unique pieces of equipment to motivate and encourage participation. For example, if you accomplish your task, you can launch the stomp rocket! I will use the yoga mats and the spin wheel to teach yoga balance skills. These motivating tools are used to develop various skills such as balance, ocular control, cooperation, and more!

With these materials I will also construct obstacle courses with river stones, balance beams and hopscotch rings as well as create thematic lessons during the holidays. You can navigate the obstacle course to bring your ornament to the tree!

Keeping my students engaged in the lessons will increase with these new pieces of equipment. There's also a trash can to store all of the supplies...on wheels so I can take it from class to class :)
