My Project

With your generous support, we can provide materials such as hand embroidery floss, embroidery needles, hoops, and patterns for our classroom. These tools will help students develop a variety of creative skills, from learning to craft intricate designs to building patience and problem-solving abilities.

The hand embroidery floss and needles will allow students to explore the techniques of stitching, creating their own unique designs.

Embroidery hoops will keep their fabric taut, providing a clean, smooth workspace to complete their art. Hand embroidery patterns will serve as guides for students to learn the basic stitches and enhance their design skills while gaining confidence in their creative abilities. These materials will not only provide a hands-on experience but will also introduce students to an ancient form of textile art, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern creativity.

My goal for this project is to provide students with the tools they need to immerse themselves in the world of hand embroidery. I aim to foster creativity, self-expression, and mindfulness in each student through this calming and productive activity. The goal is for students to develop skills they can use in other creative areas, such as design, visual art, and even problem-solving when tackling intricate patterns.

My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many of them do not have access to artistic materials outside of the classroom. They are curious, eager to learn, and ready to experiment with new ideas. While some may be familiar with basic crafts, most have never experienced the intricate art of hand embroidery. By funding this project, you’re providing them with the chance to explore a beautiful art form and gain confidence in their abilities, all while creating something they can be proud of.
