My Project

My students love to learn new skills. I want to introduce sewing to my students. When I mentioned a sewing unit, I was amazed at how many of my kids expressed an interest in learning to sew. This is a life skill they will be able to rely on for their whole life!

Sewing can teach eye hand coordination, fine motor skills and sustained concentration.

I am hoping to get embroidery hoops, needles, beads and floss so students can learn the basics and learn a life skill and a new way to express themselves by creating a stuffed animal.
