My Students

My students are creative, fashionable, and ready to expand. Our High School's Fashion Club is starting from the ground up and trying to make a lasting impact within our school's community. As we are re-establishing the fashion club within our school, we are very excited to see our efforts and varying styles come to life. Our ultimate goals are to teach, learn, discover, and most importantly create!

Going back to where I started, I am a high school teacher in the Chinatown area of the lower east side in the borough of Manhattan.

It is undoubtably important to me to groom our youth of today as they will be THE CEOs of tomorrow. As a product of our High School, I want to be able to pour into my students as it had once been done for me. My students are eager, entrepreneurial driven, and anxiously awaiting their moment.

Help me continue to create a safe space for my student's creativity to blossom.

My Project

With your assistance, my students will be able to learn, thrive, and create beyond the classroom doors. These materials will help my students begin to develop and explore their aesthetic. Also, with these goods, we will be able to support the students in learning how to use new tools to aid their future business in the fashion industry. With this donation, the Fashion Club will be able to embark on their journey of learning sewing and embroidery techniques. It will be the first step of many in enabling true art.

The ever changing fashion culture will be continuously expressed through the lens of each individual.

Students will be able to identify and share their styles and designs with their peers as well the entire school community, through fashion shows, school wide events, and custom pieces all while building and enhancing their social relationships. In recognizing each style, students will learn how to adapt their style to the seasons.

Ms. Knight-Meade Pace High School Grades 9-12
