Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sports are a huge part of our community here at PCA. Many students enjoy participating in the wide variety of sports we offer, but others enjoy being on the sidelines participating in other ways. We have introduced a Sports Broadcasting club at our school.

Sports Broadcasting is a club where students who may not be very athletic but still enjoy sports can come together and be a part of the sports community.

These students learn to take statistics, record games/highlights, and even learn to come out of their shells by conducting athlete interviews.

Together we plan to use the video cameras, microphones, and other supplies to learn how to document and report back on different sporting events in our community. We will also be able to share footage with families of athletes who typically cannot attend games due to work commitments.
