Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class this year is great. They are ready and very eager to learn a lot. My students have the desire to learn to read and especially love science and social studies. But we have a very limited amount of science or social studies reading materials to choose from.

My children want and need to learn about the world around them, but since we live in such a low income area, resources are hard to get and most parents are not able to afford any extras.

Most of us are on the free lunch program, but that doesn't stop our interest in pursuing our dreams. We are hard working and just need a little help from great donors to add that little bit to our curriculum. We hope that this year someone will help us succeed.

My Project

We can't wait to receive our science and social studies news magazines, Time for Kids and Scholastic News, and are crossing our fingers everyday that someone will sponsor us.

These Time for Kids and Scholastic News magazines will help us see the world and experience new and exciting views of the world around us.

These magazines allow us to look at things that are happening in the world and discuss our views. It sparks the ideas that each of us can do things in life and there is so much out in the world for each of us to do.
