My students need sensory input toys readily available to them, because they can improve their concentration and focus. Research states that students who use sensory toys scored significantly higher on attaining their goals.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I teach special education SDC grades 2-4. My students are full of love, are eager to learn, and have a great sense of humor. They inspire me daily with their desire, excitement, and readiness to absorb the knowledge that fills our classroom.
These students deserve the chance and opportunity to have the best possible educational experience!
Having access to more learning tools will prepare them for their future, so that they can go on to share and use their talents to lead productive, self-fulfilled lives.
My Project
My students with special needs desperately need sensory toys in our classroom. Many sensory toys, such as the Light Sensory Tables, Sensory Dough, Silly Shape Sensory Mats, Nature Slide, Float and Find Alphabet, & Gel Beaded Sensory Shapes, are toys that provide the particular sensory input that many children with autism crave.
Whether it is visual or tactile, the toys have the power to capture my students' attention, making the right sensory toy a powerful reinforcer.
These kinds of sensory input can help children focus and process information. Sensory input is especially helpful for students with ADHD, ADD, and ASD. I have seen how sensory input can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that these additional options will help us grow even more!
