We are so excited and have started planning for our "Respect for All" Week in February, 2023. This week we will be working on how powerful our words can be, how to think before we speak and what we say matters. Students will be reading the book "Sticks and Stones" by Beth Ferry. The gray paper will be used as a "Torn Stone" and students will share a time they were hurt by words. Students will be making their own positive "Stick" by making a breathing tool with the pipe cleaner and beads. This "Stick" will help them with their breathing during a conflict. Finally, students will be painting their positive "Stone" or their own personal rock that will be placed in our own "Porter's Peaceful Patch."
