My Project

Drumsticks and bass drum straps are essential tools for percussionists to develop proper technique, coordination, and endurance. Many of my students share equipment due to limited resources, which makes it difficult for them to practice effectively. By providing these items, students will have access to the tools they need to improve their musicianship, strengthen their rhythmic precision, and perform with confidence. Proper bass drum straps will also ensure students can march and play comfortably, preventing strain and improving posture during performances.

The goal of this project is to ensure that every percussion student has access to the fundamental equipment they need to be successful.

By supplying drumsticks and bass drum straps, we will improve the overall quality of instruction and performance. These items will help my students refine their skills, prepare for competitions, and develop a deeper appreciation for music. Additionally, having proper equipment will allow them to participate fully in rehearsals, parades, and performances without limitations.

My students are passionate, hardworking, and determined to excel despite facing financial and resource challenges. They come from a small, tight-knit community where the band program is a source of pride and opportunity. Many of them have never had access to brand-new equipment, yet they continue to push themselves to perform at a high level. Their dedication to music has led to scholarship opportunities and personal growth beyond the classroom. With the right resources, they can continue to thrive and inspire others with their talent and commitment.
