Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There aren’t many people who will spend as much time with your kid as their teacher does. In fact, your kid will spend about 9,000 hours with their teachers from pre-K through graduation. That’s a solid year of time another adult is teaching, leading, and pouring into your student. So, it stands to reason that it only benefits us to have a positive relationship with the person developing our kids when they’re not in our care.

Having a home-school bridge of communication is so important!

This is where our magnets come in. How many times a day do you open up your fridge at home and gaze at what you want to eat? Your fridge may be looked at more than the tv. For me at least! This is why a magnet on the fridge will gain most of the attention. As a school, we would like to create magnets that get sent home with every child to join their fridge art. These magnets include a QR code that leads to our Parent Portal. In this portal is everything a family will need to know about what's going on at their child's school. Another magnet will be the teachers' contact information for any questions or concerns throughout the school year. It's super important for families and teachers to meet at a middle ground and share a bridge of communication. This will impact every student's educational journey. Please help make this happen!
