My Project

Our population is very diverse. We have many nationalities, cultures, and abilities. My children come to school eager to learn and with a thirst for knowledge in spite of their socioeconomic hardships. Our parents do all they can to provide our children with the supplies necessary to succeed. We have an in-depth special education program, a gifted and talented program, and a dual-language program.

An elementary school classroom is like no other place in the world.

It is a home for little ones for six hours a day. Teachers not only provide education in math, reading, and other school subjects, they provide stability, love, acceptance, and support for amazing little people. Teachers educate the whole child. Personally, I strive to teach values, love, and acceptance in my room as well.

As the technology teacher, I see about half of the classes in our building! I love getting to know so many students and building relationships with them. Stickers are an easy way to share praise for good choices and spread a smile. I love giving out stickers for good choices that they can wear, decorate a notebook with, or take home.

A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to add some additional, fun activities this spring to enhance our Scratch Coding lessons. Why reinvent the wheel when I can adapt what's already out there to build on the curriculum already provided?
