My Project

My Pre-K students are eager to express themselves, and I want to provide them with the tools to develop their early literacy skills in a fun and engaging way. Stickers will inspire storytelling, allowing my students to create narratives, develop vocabulary, and strengthen their fine motor skills through hands-on activities.

My students are energetic, curious, and full of imagination, and they are at a crucial stage where they are beginning to understand how words and pictures connect to tell a story.

Many are experiencing school for the first time and need engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that make learning fun and meaningful.

By using stickers as storytelling prompts, students will develop early writing skills by dictating and tracing words that describe their sticker scenes. They will build vocabulary and sentence structure as they verbally share their stories, while also strengthening fine motor skills by peeling and placing stickers, an essential pre-writing skill. Additionally, stickers will foster creativity and confidence in their storytelling abilities, making learning both fun and effective.
