My Project

I teach in a rural, small school district in East Texas. It's a wonderful district to be in and a great place to work. Due to our size, our teachers must wear many hats and teach multiple subjects/grade levels. I am the sole JH science teacher and teach the entire JH (about 110 students). I have found interactive science notebooks to be a useful tool for my students to use throughout the year. We take notes, do labs, practice problems, use foldables, and place artifacts in our notebooks all year long. I've even had students come back to visit and tell me they pulled out their old notebooks to help them with their high school biology class!

The best adhesive to use has been good 'ol Elmers white glue.

Glue sticks dry out, get lost, eaten, end up being more expensive, and papers don't stay in the notebook for more than a few weeks. The Tap 'N Glue caps will keep students from wasting glue and making a mess of their notebooks.

Your donation to my project will help me provide the necessary materials to use our notebooks. I will set up supply tubs for each table and ALL students will have access to them. I will have enough glue to last the entire year.
