My Project
In our preschool classroom, independence is a big part of learning and growth. Simple tasks like washing hands, getting a drink of water, or helping clean up after an activity build confidence and teach important life skills. However, for many of our little learners, the sinks are just out of reach. Without step stools, these everyday tasks become frustrating and require constant adult assistance, making it harder for students to develop self-sufficiency.
Step stools may seem like a small addition, but they make a big difference.
With sturdy, safe stools at our sinks, our preschoolers can wash their hands on their own, practice good hygiene, and feel empowered to take care of themselves. These moments of independence help build self-esteem and encourage responsibility, which are important skills that extend beyond the classroom.
These step stools would provide the tools our students need to feel capable and confident in their daily routines. Having step stools ensures that every child—no matter their height or ability—has the same access to learning independence.
