My Project

As a middle school Physical Education teacher, I am looking to inspire my students to get into a fitness routine. For my students who do not wish to participate in the sports activity, they always have an opportunity to walk for a class grade.

Walking is a great way to stay physically fit and get the body moving.

I'm looking to get new pedometers to help my classes track their step counts to better understand how their physical fitness is improving over time.

Not every kid wants to play sports in the gym nor feel comfortable in their preteen years putting their talents (or lack of) out on the court in front of their peers. Being able to walk for a grade emphasizes getting moving and hopefully instills a routine that they can carry on for a lifetime!
