My class is filled with smart, loving, and energetic students ready to learn!
My students walk through the doors of my elementary school ready to learn.
They are eager learners that use the resources available to them to become better scientists. They know that to be successful in the real world they must develop critical thinking skills. My students enjoy working in collaborative groups. They are taught to love science and use it every day as a source of enjoyment. "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire. STEM promotes critical thinking skills in my students.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities will be used in my classroom for hands-on learning and fun.
I use STEM activities as an option for students to do each day. Students also choose to use STEM activities for extended learning activities. For example, if we are learning about famous American symbols or structures, a STEM challenge could be to build an American symbol or structure using STEM materials. STEM promotes critical thinking skills in my students. These materials will be used in science stations daily to reinforce our learning targets.
