My Project

One of the best parts about teaching Kindergarten is watching students grow. From the first day of school to the very last, their little minds are developing and I see the gears turning as they learn their letters, make number bonds, play with their peers, and learn about their community. As their teacher, it is my goal to provide my students opportunities to not only learn during whole group or small group lesson, but learn and develop through play. The materials I am requesting in this project will help me provide my students with developmentally appropriate toys to learn through play, expand their imaginations, and learn the value of teamwork and cooperation. The Magna-Tiles, Kids K’nex, and Bristle Blocks will be used during STEM activities as well as free play time to encourage curiosity, creativity, and promote fine motor development.
