Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagine a classroom where kids don’t just read about science; they build it, experiment with it, and live it! These STEM kits, science discovery stations, and books will transform my classroom into an innovation hub where hands-on learning fuels understanding. Plus, by weaving phonics into the STEM approach, I’m making sure my young scientists are not just thinkers, but strong readers!

My mission?

To spark curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and make learning feel like an adventure. By bringing in hands-on STEM experiences, I want to provide my students, especially those with different learning needs, with the tools to engage, explore, and thrive. Whether it’s building structures, exploring circuits, or diving into engineering challenges, I want to give every child a chance to discover their inner scientist!

My classroom is filled with brilliant, creative, and quirky minds, including many twice-exceptional students (gifted and neurodivergent) and students with Autism who light up when given hands-on learning experiences. Traditional learning doesn’t always capture their genius, but give them a STEM kit, and boom, they’re building the future before your eyes! They’re problem-solvers, deep thinkers, and inventors-in-the-making, and they deserve a learning environment that meets their brilliance with opportunity.
