This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are halfway through summer and though it has been great to recharge and relax, I am already thinking about prep for next year. As our brand new STEM program expands, there are activities that are always being added! This year my goal is to engage in more scientific-based projects. Last year, students did learn science and apply it to engineering, however, I'd like to integrate more messy science experiments. My kids LOVE science, I mean what kid doesn't love science?! The materials requested in this project will support different science experiments such as understanding physics, chain reactions, parts of an animal, and so much more. You can never have too many science materials. My goal as a STEM teacher is to inspire students to think creatively and critically about the world around them. However, in order to do this there are required materials.

Hands-on science is what kids love and NEED!

These materials will be a great addition to the STEM lab. New ideas and curriclum are currently being expanded and with your help, anything will be possible! I am hopeful that it will be a STEM-tastic year!
