Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My pre-k students at our little school are from all over and we love that! Over 50% of our students are transfer students. We might be a little school nestled in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood, but our voice is loud and respected.

My students are bright, friendly, eager to learn new things and have very active minds.

They love to explore and learn through play. I can just see their little faces light up when it's time to go to the centers. Pre-kindergarten is all about learning through play and letting kids be kids. I feel it is my duty as a teacher to make learning as meaningful and engaging as I can for my students, while also making it fun!

My Project

In our pre-k classroom, we strive to make learning fun and exciting. The main focus is mostly on letters and numbers, but, what about science? We need to encourage our little students to think critically and analyze everything.

All the materials chosen for this project are carefully chosen to stimulate curiosity and exploration.

Exploring is the best thing that pre-k students know how to do...let's give them all they need to enjoy the activity and foster their love for science. Project based learning is the best way to go. I can't wait to see their little faces light up when they pretend they are doing a dinosaur dig or when they sort leaves or rocks.
