My Project

My first-grade students are about to embark on an exciting journey of discovery and creativity with the STEM-tastic Adventures: Building, Books, and Beyond project. This project is designed to enrich our STEM centers and library, and it involves providing essential STEM building blocks, interlocking discs, a STEM challenge kit, Legos, and a collection of engaging STEM books.

By combining hands-on STEM materials with an inspiring collection of STEM books, our STEM-tastic Adventures: Building, Books, and Beyond project is poised to ignite the curiosity of my first-grade students, empowering them to explore the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The primary objectives of this project are as follows. First, I aim to enhance STEM education by fostering a love for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through hands-on learning experiences with various STEM building materials and books. Second, I seek to boost creativity by encouraging students to explore their imaginations and problem-solving skills through the use of diverse STEM resources. Third, I intend to promote reading by expanding our library's collection with STEM-related books to inspire a passion for reading and learning about science and technology. Lastly, this project will support collaboration by encouraging teamwork and communication through collaborative STEM challenges and activities.
