Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
If this project is funded, my students will be able to apply physics concepts to STEM challenges provided in order to research, brainstorm, design, create and test original prototypes.
The protoypes are envisioned, drawn and engineered by students to solve a given problem, while satisfying noted restrictions.
Students will work in groups to complete the design engineering process for each task.
After creation is completed, a written justification of HOW the previously learned physics topics apply to the prototype are written.
Finally, each group will present their design to the class and the class will vote in whether they would "invest" in each protoype or not based on appearance, craftmanship, and scientific accuracy.
