Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both socially and academically. They are truly my inspiration!
Just because they can't express it does not mean they aren't listening, thinking, feeling it, or understanding it.
All of my students are with me all day long in a self-contained life skills classroom. Some are high functioning and have recently been diagnosed with learning disabilities. Others have serious, life-threatening conditions. One of our students had been 11 months at home because he was diagnosed with cancer. Today, he is back with us and he is winning his cancer battle. Everyone in the community knows that he is the strongest warrior out there.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best varies depending on their Individualized Education Plan.
My Project
My students will now be exposed to STEM activities that will enable them to build and create pre-engineering activities. They will be able to design and execute problem-solving scenarios. With these supplies, they will be able to work cooperatively to create figures including but not limited to 3D shapes and bridges.
With the 3D printing pen, we will engage students in fun lessons that will be exciting and help them prepare for tomorrow's work/college demand.
These 21st-century skills are necessary to learn at this important age.
Thank you for helping me expose my students to this project.
