Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in an inner city school with 100 percent poverty level.

Our diverse group of students are smart, capable and interested in conducting more hands on science projects and learning about the application of science to their real lives.

They have promise and drive to learn, but our school lacks the ability to afford many of the supplies that would help them to grow. My students are constantly requesting more STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) projects to enhance their learning.

My Project

My students take pride in their work and construct amazing STEM projects. However, without the proper places to house and store their projects, they are subject to breaking, damage and getting lost. These organizers will help my students' hard work remain in perfect condition and will allow students to take pride and ownership in their work space and classroom. Organizational skills are foundational for all high schooler to learn as they work towards being college and career ready. Seeing the disappointment of students' whose hard work went ti waste dekm accidentally destroyed projects is disheartening for both teacher and student.
