Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am trying to better reach my students who represent an array of learning styles and needs.

It is my goal to increase the amount of science equipment so that we can better achieve STEM standards and be college and career ready!

I am requesting storage items that will help to keep our STEM class organized. Pump bottles will help to distribute fluids when doing experiments. Canisters and storage boxes will store powders, bulletin board paper and other solid chemicals/ materials. Command strips and hooks will help to hang posters and bags of disposable materials such as plastic bottles. The microwave will allow us to heat up fluids for experiments.

In an era where college and career readiness is a prominent factor in the teaching and learning process, STEM education is becoming more and more important. It is important to keep our STEM room clean and organized and this project will better allow for that.

I know that my students will achieve greater learning outcomes, given access to 21st-century tools and content that will encourage them to think deeply about science concepts.
