Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are high-school-aged children who volunteer their time after school for various activities. They enjoy sports medicine and oftentimes stay after school to help their fellow students with medical care. They also spend time in our school garden, assisting with the daily operations inside our school garden and botany lab. These students are hard-working, kind and, above all, selfless. They are constantly helping others and pushing each other to do more to serve our school community.

My Project

Our students need these materials to create STEM notebooks. Science, technology, math, and engineering will be made more accessible through this project. It will enable students to take these concepts and weave them together by creating their own notebook products. Students will be able to cut out pictures, draw, color, highlight words, write notes, and so much more! This project allows the student to create a notebook that focuses on STEM in their own unique way, which will lead to better learning outcomes!

Student-created content will speak to learners in a way that is memorable, fun, and exciting!

As a benefit, students will be able to keep these notebooks for years to come to recall important facts and to build upon what they have already learned!
