Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
STEM Nature Club will give students an opportunity to grow different vegetables and herbs. Many of my students have expressed an interest in learning how to garden and how to take care of plants. This project will allow students to learn about the food they eat, possibly "grow a new palate" by trying fresh vegetables and herbs, as well as learn responsibility through tending a garden. They will also have the ability to bring home the food they grow. Through COVID-19, our school did not have a garden. STEM Nature Club will allow students to help refresh our school garden.
