Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are requesting this project to empower our special needs students to learn and apply STEM skills through a hands-on, creative t-shirt design project.

This initiative will provide students with a sublimation printer, a heat press, and design software, allowing them to create custom t-shirts.

This project will foster creativity, build fine motor skills, and introduce concepts in technology, engineering, and mathematics as students engage in every step of the printing and design process.

Objectives:

Introduce STEM Concepts in a Creative Context: Teach foundational STEM concepts (like color theory, digital design, and heat transfer physics) in an engaging, visual way.

Develop Technical and Motor Skills: Using design software and handling the printer and heat press will support the development of fine motor skills and technical know-how.

Encourage Self-Expression and Confidence: Students will see their ideas come to life, fostering self-confidence and creative expression.

Equity Focus
