My Project

I currently teach a diverse body of students to include: ESOL, Gen Ed, Gifted, and French Emersion. My students love hand-on activities, are extremely creative, and bring a rich mix of culture into the classroom. Even their learning styles bring a sense of newness and is quite refreshing as a teacher of STEM math.

Doing STE(A)M-related PBLs, hand-on activities that connect to core content areas help them to draw connections and correlations with real-world issues.

Gestures, art, color, music, visual aids are the catalyst for their true understanding of real-world experiences. Our students can excel, have excelled, and are doing excellent work in the STEM Math class. They will then continue developing their critical thinking skills from a unique perspective, while exposing them to STE(A)M careers.

The requested items will be used for project-based learning where students will participate in developing their mathematical skills using an interdisciplinary approach with an emphasis on engineering. Additionally, the requested posters will help in creating visual aids, such as anchor charts, for students to develop visual literacy. Lastly, the other requested items will be essential for the math classroom where students are constantly engaged in hand-on learning on daily basis.
