My Students

I teach art at an aerospace engineering school. The students range in age from 4 to 10 years old. While they come from various backgrounds, most of them come from East Asian refugee communities. Seventy percent of the students qualify for free lunch.

My students are curious, creative, and excited to be back at school!

My Project

Students at our engineering magnet are experiencing art class for the first time. Please help us build a Makers' Space to make, create, design, and construct!

A Makers' Space will give them a chance to use their engineering skills creatively.

Students will have the opportunity to work with supplies such as wood, paper mache, play-doh, Magna-Tiles, Legos, modeling clay, tape, and glue. We will continue to make connections to science through recycled papermaking and Sun Print paper. Help these tiny engineers put the "Arts" into STEAM! Thank you!
