My Students

As the local gifted and talented teacher, I teach about thirty students in six different schools. Some schools are fly-in only with limited access to technology and twenty-first century learning applications. These students crave the chance to create, tinker, and explore.

All of my students have the need for enrichment beyond what books and the normal school day can provide.

The 3D printer and laptop would give these students an opportunity to be thinkers, creators, and problem solvers. They have the ability and motivation, now they just need the tools!

My Project

We have been doing engineering projects for the last few years, creating amazing projects with simple items. However, these students are ready for the next steps, Tinkercad and a 3D printing.

We are building our future here!

Our students crave creation and making their ideas a reality. With quality resources like the printer and laptop, we will make this happen!

Students will start by designing and printing rocket cones, experimenting with different sizes and shapes to maximize velocity and speed. Once they have the experience with a simple build, we will progress to more complicated printings.

In the rural environment we are in, being self sufficient and able to create your own parts and pieces is an invaluable skill!
