My Students

My students are loving and caring children. They come to school ready to learn and are motivated! They work hard on their assignments and strive to do their best.

They come from low-income homes, and they all receive school breakfast and lunch.

Some come from other countries and are learning English.

They love STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.) They are often looking for new ways to be future innovators! I know they love school and I hope to keep them engaged all year long!

My Project

I am requesting materials to complete our STEM/Science Lab. In order to meet the needs of all my students, we need engaging resources. I would love to be able to engage my students with literature and nonfiction books having to do with Science topics such as weather. The books will be used for both read alouds and research. My students range from Kindergarten to 8th Grade. There is a wide range of topics that need to be covered within these grades. I would love to be able to work with the classroom teachers in building knowledge in these Science topics with models, such as plant and animal cell models. When students see real-life models and examples it helps them understand much better!
