Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom STEM bins need some extra materials. In 3rd grade we study earth and space; plants; the cycle of life; animals; electricity and magnetism; and forces, motion and sound.

STEM kits will bring an enthusiasm to our Science lessons and hopefully inspire my students into thinking about careers in the science field.

I plan on hanging the solar system from the ceiling so we can a better understanding of their rotation and size differential.

The Magna-Tiles will be used cross-curricular in my both my soft start challenge builds and math lessons about area. Students also love creating arrays with the tiles to reinforce the multiplication tables they are trying to memorize. Since the tiles will be broken apart into sets, the clear tubs will be perfect so we don't misplace our tiles. A replacement sharpener was added to ensure our future scientists always have a sharpened pencil to record their findings!
