Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The science kit and sensory tools that are in this project will help me introduce STEM to my inclusive preschool classroom. My preschoolers will be able to learn more about how to use certain technology for science such as looking through microscopes or using a pretend camera to view animals. These items will also help with fine motor skills when building with magnets and using busy boards. When using all items, they will also be able to work on their speech and phonemic awareness as well. This could be when working with the alphabet puzzles or viewing pictures in the books about insects.

My goal is for my preschool students to use these materials to gain more knowledge about the world around them.

They continue to surprise me everyday with the knowledge they have gained already just through play. The excitement they express when I am able to share new things such as toys and books with them, brings me so much joy. I am honored to be able to teach these early learners everyday.
