My Project

I want to expose my students to STEM to spark an interest in these subjects from an early age. It is so important to provide exposure for students early on in their academic careers so they can know what interests them.

These books and materials will help me open the door for my students to spark an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Most of the books in my project are about weather, recycling, and other scientific topics that we cover in kindergarten. The iPhone holder will be used to help create an interest in technology as students will use it to film videos of themselves doing experiments so they can explain what is happening. My hope is that this will help them develop a love of science AND technology. For engineering, we will use the magnets and the extension cord listed for different projects throughout the year. Lastly, we will use the magnetic nameplates for students to answer the Question of the Day each day. After students move their nameplates to the column of the answer that they choose, we use that data for many different math problems. We compare the sums and make math equations using the sum for each side of the question.

These supplies will help bring STEM alive in my classroom!
