My Students

My 18 amazing Kindergarten students come to school every day ready and eager to learn. They teach me just as much as I teach them. They are the sweetest kids with so much love. Our school is a Title I school with 38% free and reduced lunch rates.

My goal as a Kindergarten teacher is to teach each child lifelong lessons as well as create a good foundation of skills they will be able to use their entire life.

Along with being lifelong learners I also would like to equip them with knowledge in S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

My Project

These STEM activities will offer problem-solving opportunities in our Kindergarten classroom. I would like to use these activities in small groups during math centers to generate conversation as well as increase vocabulary.

STEM activities will help children connect important math concepts and deepen inquiry-based learning while students work together.

These activities would allow students to touch and move objects in a variety of ways. This type of learning will make math and science both fun and interesting. STEM bridges science, math, and reading while sparking creativity and engagement with peers while learning.
