My students deserve to understand how things work in the real world. As a first year teacher, I do not have the resources to give the students what they deserve. They should be able to understand the way the world revolves around STEM, so they can be successful in life.
I teach Special Education grades 2-5.
I have students that are Autistic, have Down Syndrome, missing chromosomes, and small head syndrome. The principal loves the students and wants nothing but the best for them. The school does concentrate on STEM activities but we do not have enough STEM kits for my kids.
My Project
Every Wednesday is STEM day, where we spend the entire day working on STEM. I am requesting a Real World STEM challenge kit and an Engineer-A-Roller Coaster Activity kit. These items will give my students more resources to assist with their life long adventures. The resources will also be involved in everyday learning. They will be able to understand how damns, bridges, and roller coasters are constructed, and understand the engineering behind it.
My students will understand how everyday things revolve around Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
These requested STEM kits and products will allow my students to learn while having fun and interacting with each other allowing them to enhance their social skills.
